Niki’s West has been serving the greater Birmingham, Ala., area since 1957. Owners, Pete and Teddy Hontzas, are second generation owners who took over the business from their father, the late Gus P. Hontzas. With humble, new beginnings of an extensive menu with very delicious food, Niki’s West is truly Birmingham’s unique restaurant, serving high quality meals with great service.

The cafeteria line at Niki’s West is legendary. Mid-morning you can find folks in line, piling their plates high with some of the freshest and most colorful vegetables in Birmingham.
Most folks who pass in front of the steam table at Niki’s West might be surprised to know that there was a lounge in the back of the place in the old days. And evidently, the lounge was where part of the expanded kitchen is today. If those walls could talk!
